Smart Growth Tulsa: A 10 Year Legacy of Advocacy and Commitment

Founded by Bill Leighty in 2014, Smart Growth Tulsa initially operated as a sole proprietorship before transitioning to a nonprofit organization in 2016. With solid community support, we grew to over 1,000 members and gained 6,000 followers on Facebook, marking a decade of promoting sustainable urban development. After a hiatus in daily operations due to funding challenges in 2018, we’ve reactivated as a streamlined entity. Today, we continue our mission to advocate for higher development standards and sustainable growth, aiming to inform and empower our community through newsletters and insightful blog content.
